Bringing Performance to Life
Born and raised in the great country of Texas, Toi Noelle has been dancing for 11 years. After receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Dance Performance from Texas Woman’s University in 2010, she moved to Atlanta and began creating an exciting network with other dance and creative artists. In 2011 she founded and produced BlabberMouthATL, a showcase for emerging choreographers. She has performed with T.Lang Dance, Nick Cave and been an artist in residency with the Spelman College Department of Theatre and Dance. In 2017 she founded Professional Bodies. She follows her curiosity to new adventures, projects and parts of town.
"I make dance to offer a moment of empathy, belonging, and connection to an audience. I offer a moving picture of our weaknesses, desires, and struggles as humans. My choreography meshes emotionally charged physicality with humanistic expression. I experiment with fast movements that require strength and agility, as well as delicate gestures that expose moments of tenderness. I try to connect with an audience by exposing the most vulnerable part of myself through dances that engage the mind, the body, and the spirit"
A Legend in the Making
Professional Bodies is a band of bad ass artists changing the world one dance at a time. Founded in 2017 with four movement artists, Professional Bodies will premiere its debut work of art, SHE, in May 2018.
